Privacy Policy for FuelFlow

1. Overview

FuelFlow is designed with privacy in mind. Trip data and vehicle information are stored locally on your device and in your personal iCloud account. FuelFlow does not operate user accounts and does not store personal trip data on its own servers.

This Privacy Policy describes what information is processed by the app, how it is used, and how it is protected.

2. Information Stored on Your Device

FuelFlow stores the following information locally on your device and in your personal iCloud storage:

• Trip data, including routes, duration, distance, and calculated fuel usage
• Vehicle information such as car model and fuel efficiency
• Fuel price preferences
• App settings and preferences

This information remains under your control and is not transmitted to Emerald Builds servers. If you delete the app or remove iCloud data, this information may be permanently deleted.

3. Location Data

FuelFlow uses location data solely to record trips and calculate distance and fuel usage.

• Trip location data is processed on your device.
• Precise GPS location and trip routes are not transmitted to Emerald Builds servers.
• Location data is not shared with third parties by FuelFlow.

To retrieve regional fuel price information, the app may use approximate location information such as country or region to request the appropriate fuel price data from Emerald Builds servers. This information is used only to return the relevant fuel price and is not stored or retained by Emerald Builds.

Map display functionality is provided through Apple Maps, which may process information according to Apple’s own privacy policies.

4. Server Data Requests

FuelFlow retrieves limited non-personal data from Emerald Builds servers, including:

• Regional or country-level average fuel prices
• Estimated vehicle efficiency data for car makes and models

Requests for fuel price data may include approximate location information such as country or region in order to return the correct regional data. This information is used only to fulfill the request and is not stored or associated with an individual user.

Fuel price and efficiency data are estimates and may be inaccurate or outdated at times.

5. Analytics

FuelFlow uses Google Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage information in order to improve the app.

Examples of analytics events include:

• onboarding_completed
• trip_started

Analytics data:

• does not include trip routes or location history
• does not include user-entered values
• is not used to identify individual users

Firebase Analytics may collect limited technical information such as device type, operating system version, app version, and approximate location information (such as country or region) derived from network information. Precise trip or GPS location data is not shared with Firebase.

Analytics data is used only in aggregated and anonymous form to understand general app usage.

6. Payments and Subscriptions

All payments and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. Emerald Builds does not receive or store payment information.

7. Children’s Privacy

FuelFlow is not intended for children under the age of 13. The app does not knowingly collect information from children.

8. Data Retention

All trip and vehicle data remains on your device and in your iCloud account until you delete it. Analytics data is retained according to Google Firebase’s data retention settings.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data under applicable privacy laws. Since FuelFlow does not store personal data on its own servers, most data management actions can be performed directly on your device by deleting app data.

10. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Updates will be reflected by changing the “Last updated” date.
